HANDS Institute of Development Studies (HANDS IDS) welcomed a delegation from SBS Education Consultants for a courtesy visit to explore opportunities for collaboration in higher education, professional development, and industry engagement.
The delegation comprised Mr. Shahzaib Raees, CEO, and Mr. Naveed Qureshi, Head of Growth & Operations, SBS Education Consultants. They met with Dr. Shaikh Tanveer Ahmed, Acting Chancellor, HANDS IDS & Chairman, HANDS Welfare Foundation and Prof. (Meritorious) Dr. Abuzar Wajidi, Rector, HANDS IDS.
The discussions focused on strengthening Academia–Industry Linkages, faculty development, training programs, seminars, guest speaker sessions, student internships and placements, mentorship, professional grooming, and the development of the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC).
A key area of interest was exploring stronger connections with FPCCI, industrialists, entrepreneurs, and leading business professionals to create networking opportunities and bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
The visit reflected a shared interest in exploring practical initiatives that enhance students’ professional competencies, improve graduate employability, and promote meaningful institutional partnerships.
HANDS IDS remains committed to building bridges between academia and industry, empowering future professionals, and contributing to Pakistan’s human capital development.
