History
HANDS Institute of Development Studies (HANDS-IDS) was established on 4 September 2023, chartered by the Government of Sindh, and granted No Objection Certificate (NoC) by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) on 22 January 2024. The Institute operates under the leadership of Chancellor Prof. (Emeritus) Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Billoo and Rector Prof. (Meritorious) Dr. Abuzar Wajidi. Their collective vision emphasizes academic excellence, research-driven innovation, and the promotion of development-oriented and business education aligned with societal and industry needs.
Scholarships And Financial Aid
The institute offers merit- and talent-based scholarships to support students with exceptional skills and those who are differently abled. Scholarships may cover up to 50% of tuition fees and are awarded at the time of admission after evaluation by the Scholarship and Financial Aid Committee.
