
As part of the Social Community Engagement Project, 3rd Semester students of department of Business Administration and development Studies under the supervision of Ms. Mehrin Shaikh (Deputy Director Students Affairs and Lecturer), successfully conducted a community outreach activity near the HANDS Institute of Development Studies.
Before the visit, Ms. Mehrin Farhan shared proper guidelines and clear instructions for all tasks, ensuring effective planning and execution. The students actively participated in health & hygiene, basic manners and bullying awareness sessions, handwashing demonstrations, and social mobilization activities in the village and local school.
The students carried out their responsibilities with great dedication, discipline, and teamwork, creating a positive impact on the local community. Their efforts helped raise awareness about health, cleanliness, and preventive practices among villagers and schoolchildren.
In addition, the students delivered an excellent presentation highlighting their project objectives, activities, and outcomes, reflecting strong communication and analytical skills.
This initiative not only benefited the community but also enhanced students’ practical learning, leadership abilities, and social responsibility. The successful completion of this project reflects the commitment of both faculty and students toward meaningful education and community development.
The Rector HANDS Institute of Development Studies, Prof (Meritorious) Dr. Abuzar Wajdi along with the Dean, FMDS, Prof. Dr. Khalid Hussain Shaikh, visited and evaluated the project themselves to appreciate the students.
