Introduction
The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at HANDS Institute of Development Studies (HANDS-IDS) is committed to ensuring high-quality education, institutional effectiveness, and continuous quality improvement in higher education. Since its establishment, HANDS-IDS has prioritized maintaining academic standards aligned with the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The QEC functions as the central body responsible for implementing a comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) framework, ensuring that all academic programs, administrative processes, and institutional activities meet national and accreditation standards. Through structured monitoring, evaluation, and performance assessment, the QEC strengthens institutional quality management systems.

The Aims and Objectives of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at HANDS-IDS include:
1. Institutional Quality Assurance Framework
Implementation of a comprehensive institutional Quality Assurance (QA) system.
Strict compliance with standards and performance indicators defined by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Ensuring that both the spirit and requirements of HEC policies are fully implemented.
2. Program-Level Quality and Accreditation
Implementation of QA mechanisms at the academic program level.
Compliance with standards specified by relevant accreditation councils.
Securing accreditation of all HANDS-IDS programs from HEC-approved professional bodies and councils.
3. Internal & External Assessment Mechanisms
Establishment of structured internal and external evaluation processes.
Performance monitoring aligned with HEC and accreditation body standards.
